Wrong Way visited our T-shirt shop in San Clemente in the mid-80’s. He created some very unusual multi- colored designs and we had a good time printing them in our little back-room print shop. He struck me as remarkably ego-less, given his flamboyant style. We had some great conversations! He may be gone, but he’s still out there….. Maybe someone will make a movie.
I met Wrong Way Wooten near Peters Landing in Seal Beach. He was riding backwards? I offered to buy him lunch. We talked for an hour and off. I still enjoy the photo of him sitting on his over loaded bike. Where to next? I have read the other notes- Diddo. My pic Signed' Jim, Good Luck! Wrong Way Wooten - Coast to Coast'
When I was about 12 (back in 1982) my famly had the pleasure of meeting Wrong Way Wooten. My brother first met him when he was riding around our little town (Clovis, NM) and he invited him for dinner and he ended up staying with us for about three weeks. I remember him being a really nice guy but unfortunately I can't remember too much more. I think of him often and wonder where he is. Hopefully he is doing well.
